Buy Dymista

Dymista is a nasal spray containing the active ingredients azelastine hydrochloride, an antihistamine, and fluticasone propionate, a corticosteroid. These ingredients work together to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and allergies by blocking the production of histamines and reducing inflammation. Dymista can relieve symptoms such as a runny nose and sneezing caused by moderate to severe seasonal and perennial rhinitis caused by pollen, house mites, mould, dust or pets.

How Dymista relieves allergy symptoms

One spray of Dymista contains 137mg of azelastine hydrochloride, an antihistamine, and 50mg of fluticasone propionate, a corticosteroid. Antihistamines work by preventing the effects of histamine, a chemical released by the body during an allergic reaction, reducing the symptoms of hay fever or allergic rhinitis. Corticosteroids work by reducing the inflammation caused by an overly reactive immune system.

Directions

To feel the benefit of Dymista, it’s vital that you use it regularly. This medicine is suitable for long-term use and the duration of the treatment should correspond to the period in which you experience your allergy symptoms (throughout spring and summer for hay fever sufferers, for example).

For adults and children over the age of 12, the recommended dose is one spray into each nostril in the morning and evening. Children under 12 years old should not use this medicine.

Before using Dymista, blow your nose to clear your nostrils. To use the nasal spray, start by shaking the bottle gently for 5 seconds by tilting it upwards and downwards and removing the protective cap. Put two fingers on either side of the spray pump and place your thumb on the bottom of the bottle. Hold the bottle upright, tilt your head downwards and carefully insert the spray tip into one nostril, closing the other nostril with your finger. Press down once to release a spray of medicine whilst breathing in through your nose. After repeating in the other nostril, clean the spray tip with a clean tissue and replace the protective cap.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, there’s a possibility that you may experience some side effects when you take Avamys, but these won’t affect everybody. Make sure to stop taking Avamys and seek immediate medical help if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction (swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat and difficulty breathing). Other side effects may include:

  • Minor nosebleeds
  • Nasal ulceration, which may cause irritation or discomfort in your nose or streaks of blood when you blow your nose
  • Headache
  • Shortness of breath
  • Pain, burning irritation, soreness or dryness in the inside of the nose (uncommon)
  • Small holes (perforations) in the ridge inside the nose that separates the nostrils (very rare)

Avamys may also cause slow growth in children, blurred vision or temporary changes to vision, or chest tightness causing difficulty breathing. The frequency of these side effects cannot be estimated from the available data.

If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
