1. How do I use the Otex Express Combi Pack?
A. Tilt your head and squeeze 5 drops into your ear. Let it sit for a few minutes, then gently wipe away any excess. Do this once or twice a day for about 3–4 days. After that, use the included bulb syringe with warm water to rinse your ear gently. (Be sure to read the full instructions before use.)
2. How long should I use it?
A. Most people only need to use it for 3 to 4 days to see results.
3. How does it work?
A. The drops break down and soften earwax, making it easier to remove. The bulb syringe then helps flush it out for a clean, comfortable ear.
4. Can I use this while pregnant or breastfeeding?
A. Yes – there are no known issues with using Otex during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. However, if you’re unsure, it’s always good to check with a healthcare professional.
5. Is it safe to use if I have tinnitus?
A. If you have tinnitus or any other ear condition, it’s best to speak with your doctor before using Otex.
6. Can children use the Combi Pack?
A. Impacted earwax is less common in young children. If you’re thinking about using it for your child, please talk to your doctor first.
7. Can I use Otex with hearing aids?
A. If you wear a hearing aid, we recommend speaking with a healthcare provider before using Otex.
8. Can I use it if I have grommets?
A. No – Otex is only for ears with intact eardrums. Grommets pass through the eardrum and may allow the drops to reach the middle ear, which isn’t safe.
9. Can it be used before ear syringing?
A. Yes! Using Otex for a few days before syringing can make the process easier — and sometimes eliminate the need for syringing altogether. If you find wax builds up frequently, chat with your doctor.
10. What’s in the drops?
A. Otex Express Ear Drops contain urea hydrogen peroxide, glycerol, and 8-hydroxyquinoline — a combination that helps break down earwax safely and effectively.
11. Has it been tested on animals?
A. No. Otex has only been tested in clinical trials involving human patients with earwax issues.
12. Any animal-derived ingredients?
A. None at all – Otex is free from animal-derived ingredients.
13. What about nut derivatives?
A. Nope – Otex doesn’t contain any nut derivatives either.
